NVC Case Tracker for Vietnamese: Track NVC, CEAC and DQ records in one place

USCIS Approved is not the end point for many US settlement applications consularly processed.

After USCIS approves the petition, the file can be transferred to the National Visa Center, or NVC, for further processing before being transferred to the consulate.

This is the stage when many people start experiencing a new problem:

A good NVC tracker shouldn't just display:

“NVC is processing.”

It needs to help users answer:

Has the profile been created by NVC?

What is Case Number?

What is Invoice ID?

Have you paid the fee yet?

Is DS-260 complete?

Is Affidavit of Support complete?

Have Financial Documents been sent yet?

Have Civil Documents been sent yet?

Has NVC reviewed it yet?

Were any documents rejected?

Is the application Documentarily Complete?

Waiting for interview or missing steps?

Is Visa Bulletin current yet?

WHAT ARE NVC CASE NUMBER AND INVOICE ID USED FOR?

According to the Department of State, people using CEAC for immigrant visas need NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number to log in.

NVC sends this information after receiving the petition approved by USCIS and creating a file at the Department of State.

These are two pieces of information that users should keep carefully.

Don't just save it in one email.

They should be kept with the main file because they may need to be used multiple times during processing.

CEAC IS AN IMPORTANT PLACE IN THE NVC PHASE

CEAC is an electronic system used by the Department of State to help immigrant visa applicants go through many steps in the processing process.

Once logged in, users can view information and status related to:

Visa Application.

Affidavit of Support.

Financial Documents.

Civil Documents.

Members profile.

Notice from NVC.

Therefore, CEAC is not just a place to “look at records”.

This is an important part of the processing process.

THREE BIG GROUPS OF WORK NEED TO FOLLOW

During the NVC phase, management can be divided into three groups.

First group:

Financial side.

Includes Affidavit of Support and related financial documents.

Second group:

Applicant side.

Includes DS-260 and Civil Documents.

Third group:

Case progress.

Including submission, review, corrections, Documentarily Complete and waiting for interview.

If only looking at a general status line, users may not know exactly what part is missing.

CEAC HAS STATUS FOR EACH DOCUMENT

This is why manual tracking is quite misleading.

The Department of State explains that in CEAC, documents may appear with statuses such as:

Missing.

Uploaded.

Submitted.

Rejected.

These states have different meanings.

Uploaded does not mean NVC has reviewed it.

New Submitted represents the document that has been submitted for NVC review.

Rejected means the document needs to be reprocessed according to instructions.

Therefore, users should not see “Uploaded” and then conclude that the application is complete.

SUBMIT DOCUMENTS IS AN IMPORTANT MILLION

NVC requires users to upload the necessary documents and after completing the required sections, perform Submit Documents.

According to official instructions, if required documents are still Missing, the Submit Documents button may not be active.

After submission, the application is placed in a queue for NVC review.

This is a milestone that should be saved to the timeline.

NVC REVIEW DOES NOT MEAN DQ

After submitting, NVC needs to review the application.

Possible results are:

Records need to be corrected or supplemented.

Or the profile meets the Documentarily Complete condition.

If there are Corrections Required, users need to log in to CEAC, read the Response Note and make corrections according to the instructions.

Then you must resubmit it for NVC review.

This is why tracking history is so important.
