Visa Bulletin is one of the most important sources of information for people waiting for F2A applications.

However, many people see the two tables Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing but don't know which table to look at.

“Dates for Filing Current means visa is available.”

These interpretations are not correct.

WHAT IS F2A?

F2A is a Family-Sponsored Second Preference visa group.

This group includes spouses and unmarried children under 21 years of age of legal permanent residents of the United States.

WHAT IS FINAL ACTION DATE?

Final Action Date relates to when visa numbers can be issued to eligible applications.
